We’re taking advantage of the quieter summer months to get major works done at Main Road and Furlong Road in St Albans and six other crossings around Melbourne.

As you can see, they're making great progress. Since the start of January, Main Road has been closed while a bridge deck is laid to the west of the existing level crossing. When the road re-opens on 22 January, the deck will allow traffic to flow on Main Road as normal, while the construction team dig out the train tunnel underneath.

Keep up to date with the awesome progress on getting rid of these horrendous level crossings in Melbourne's west by following Natalie Suleyman MP and the Level Crossing Removal Authority on Facebook.
