Khalil Eideh, Member for Western Metropolitan Region, has decided that he will not be seeking re-election in 2018.
First elected to our Parliament in 2006, Khalil has proudly represented the western suburbs for more than a decade.
Khalil has been a strong voice for the people of Melbourne’s west, including advocating on behalf of the region’s many multicultural communities.
Khalil also served our state on a number Parliamentary Committees, before becoming Deputy President of the Legislative Council in 2016.
I’d like to thank Khalil for his years of service, and wish him the best for the future.
