We think of Parliamentary traditions as longstanding, embedded – hundreds of years old.

But welcoming visitors to country has been a tradition of Aboriginal people for thousands and thousands of years.

That’s why, from today, the Victorian Parliament will Acknowledge this country every sitting week.
