We made history today.
In an Australian first, Austin Health signed on to be part of a clinical trial of synthetic cannabidiol.
That means kids like Logan - who suffer from refractory epilepsy - will get a chance at some relief from daily seizures.
It means their parents won't have to watch them suffer.
It means a chance for a better life.
I'm proud of all of our efforts to put Victoria at the cutting-edge of medical research.
And I'm proud that this year, we're also legalising medicinal cannabis. Because parents shouldn't have to choose between breaking the law and watching their child suffer.
