Malcolm Turnbull's plan to abandon public schools in Victoria is extraordinary.

There is no innovation without a strong public education system.
This is just a cynical attempt to justify the Turnbull Government's decision to walk away from Gonski: it's not enough that they've torn up a signed agreement, they now want to brazenly ditch all responsibility for our government schools.
The Gonski reforms were all about addressing disadvantage in our school system and supporting all students to ensure a level playing field.
This plan is another example of the Turnbull Government's complete disregard for our most vulnerable students.
