Treasurer Tim Pallas is proud to nominate Whitelion as his 2017-18 Budget charity.
Whitelion supports at-risk youth to engage with their communities by offering mentoring and outreach services, and connecting them to education, training and employment opportunities.
The organisation has supported thousands of young Victorians to reach their full potential for almost 20 years. Each year it also trains more than 300 volunteers to be mentors and support its mobile outreach services.
Whitelion also delivers prevention programs in schools, offering guidance to teachers to identify at-risk youth and teaching students the importance of inclusion and equality.
Mr Pallas has a long-standing relationship with Whitelion, having served as an ambassador to the charity for more than two years.
Mr Pallas today made a personal donation to the organisation and is encouraging his colleagues and Victorian business leaders to open their wallets for the worthy cause.
