Supporting A Family-Friendly Day At The Zoo

01 May 2017

The Andrews Labor Government is ensuring our youngest Victorians can continue to explore the wonders of our world-class zoos, at no cost to families.

The Victorian Budget 2017/18 will provide $5.8 million to continue the successful ‘Kids Go Free’ policy.

Thanks to this investment, children aged 4-16 are given free entry to Healesville Sanctuary, Melbourne Zoo and Werribee Open Range Zoo, on weekends, public holidays and Victorian state school holidays.

This is in addition to the year-round free entry for children under 4.

Melbourne Zoo has been voted Melbourne’s most popular attraction for the second year running in a major RACV tourism survey, and we want to give every child the chance to visit.

The Labor Government is helping the much-loved attraction grow, enticing more visitors than ever before.
