Statement On The Resignation Of Mark Wild

16 September 2015

Mark Wild today formally resigned as Chief Executive Officer of Public Transport Victoria (PTV).

I would like to thank Mark for his passion and substantial contribution to public transport in Victoria over many years.

I have worked closely with Mark over the past nine months on the Andrews Labor Government’s huge public transport agenda, including Melbourne Metro Rail Project, 50 level crossing removals and new trains and trams for Victoria. Mark’s extensive experience and outstanding technical knowledge has been valuable in developing these critical projects.

Gary Liddle, who was previously employed as Chief Executive of VicRoads and Lead Deputy Secretary, Transport, will act as interim CEO of PTV until a new CEO is appointed.

Mark will be taking up a position in the Department of Economic Development, Jobs, Transport and Resources.
