Geoff Howard, Member for Buninyong, has advised me that he will not be seeking re-election in 2018.
Elected to Parliament in 1999, Geoff has diligently served the people of Ballarat for close to two decades.
First elected as the Member for Ballarat East and then as the Member for Buninyong, Geoff has been a proud voice for his community, delivering upgrades to Mars Stadium, a second platform for Ballan Station and the new Woowookarung Regional Park.
A teacher before entering Parliament, Geoff has also been a passionate advocate for local schools, and has been key to securing upgrades to Mount Clear College and Ballarat Secondary College.
I’d like to thank Geoff for his many years of service, and wish him the best for the future.
