Statement From The Premier - Denis Napthine Retires From Victorian Parliament

On behalf of all Victorians I congratulate Denis Napthine on his service to Victoria and wish him well upon announcing his retirement.

Denis Napthine was first elected to Parliament in 1988 and was the 47th Victorian Premier.

He has dedicated his life to public service and was a passionate advocate for his local community and our state.

Denis Napthine leaves the Victorian Parliament after almost 27 years with the respect of the Victorian people.

Catherine and I wish Denis, his wife Peggy and his family all the very best for the future.
