Showcasing Fine Wine And Food From The Yarra Valley

08 December 2016

The Andrews Labor Government is delivering a brand new festival showcasing the fine wine and food from the Yarra Valley.

Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren today joined Member for Northern Victoria Jaclyn Symes and event organisers to mark the launch of the Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival with a grape stomp at Parliament.

The Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival will be a chance to experience the best of everything the renowned region is known for producing – a great weekend for visitors, and a big boost for local traders and producers.

Set on the lawns of the Rochford Winery and overlooking the rolling hills of the Yarra Valley, the Festival will offer the finest wine and culinary delights that make the region famous.

A Wine Ambassador and Masterclass Program is planned, and there will be live music and entertainment the whole family can enjoy.

The festival is set to attract up to 6000 visitors to the region – and that’s great news for local hotels, bed and breakfast operators and nearby wineries.

We’ve secured the event with a Regional Events Fund grant, which helps rural and regional Victoria stage the biggest and best events.

Regional Victoria has something for everyone and the best of everything, and we want everyone to see it for themselves.

Our Wander Victoria marketing campaign is showcasing the great treasures that make our regions world-class destinations for visitors.

The Yarra Valley Wine and Food Festival runs from April 1-2 next year.
