Scholarships Open To Support Women On Boards

09 November 2015

Minister for Women Fiona Richardson has today urged women to apply for the 2016 Victorian Women’s Governance Scholarships program.

Women wanting to strengthen their board skills can apply for one of 34 scholarships to undertake the Company Director’s Course, run by the Australian Institute for Company Directors (AICD).

The Scholarship Program, which is run in partnership with the AICD, has previously been open only to women currently serving on the board of a Victorian Government funded not-for-profit organisation, but for the first time, women who are serving on Victorian Government boards can now also apply.

The Andrews Labor Government is committed to promoting women’s leadership and economic and civic participation, and is developing whole-of-government policies to address gender equity issues.

Applications for the Scholarship Program will be open until 20 November. Information and application forms can be found at http://www.companydirectors.com.auExternal Link
