Rural Women’s Network Back Better Than Ever

27 June 2017

The re-established and revitalised Victorian Rural Women’s Network is nearly here.

From 1 July, thousands of rural and regional women in towns, farms and boardrooms across Victoria will have a new place to connect, share ideas, learn and find out about events and opportunities.

The Rural Women’s Network will reduce distance and disconnection for women living in isolated areas through the E- newsletters, a networking platform, social media and regular e-updates.

It will provide a one stop shop for information about mentoring, leadership opportunities and inspiring stories, as well as events and ideas.

Victoria’s first female Minister for Agriculture Jaala Pulford announced the re-establishment of the much loved network in May at the annual Women in Agriculture Forum at Parliament House.

The Andrews Labor Government will provide $1.7 million to support the Network to promote women’s economic participation, professional development, and wellbeing through information about health and education services.

For more information and to join the more than 300 members who have already signed up to the network, visit agriculture.vic.gov.auExternal Link .
