On behalf of the Victorian Government, I send my condolences to the family, friends and colleagues of Australia’s 22nd Prime Minister, Malcolm Fraser.
Malcolm Fraser was a Victorian of purpose and principle – an architect of our diversity and a giant of stature, intellect and legacy.
Recently, Malcolm Fraser and I attended an event with members of our Vietnamese community. They could not have admired him more for his humanity and compassion.
For years, he served our nation. For decades, he served the people of Western Victoria. For a lifetime, he served the contest of Australian ideas. We’re all better for it.
