Minister for Finance, Robin Scott, has announced that WorkSafe will tomorrow call expressions of interest to design and build its new Geelong head office.
The Andrews Labor Government is committed to the full relocation of WorkSafe’s head office to Geelong, with the opening of expressions of interest an important step forward.
This move will bring jobs and growth to the region, with the entire headquarters and majority of staff to be relocated.
The expression of interest also explores the possibility of WorkSafe co-locating with the National Disability Insurance Agency.
WorkSafe will now commence consultation with its staff to provide an opportunity for employees to give feedback on the proposed approach to the relocation.
Negotiations will also commence in June on a relocation package agreement that supports WorkSafe employees in their move to Geelong.
