Recognising The Achievements Of Victorian Refugees

25 February 2022

The Andrews Labor Government is calling for community members to nominate refugees who have made significant contributions to our state for the 2022 Victorian Refugee Awards.

The awards are open to people who arrived in Australia as refugees or asylum seekers, and recognise the achievements and resilience shown by the winners in rebuilding their lives in Victoria.

The annual awards honour people, businesses and organisations who have excelled through their study, work, entrepreneurship or volunteering in Victoria. Multiple awards will be presented across four categories: achievement, leadership, youth leadership and business.

Nominees may have received an excellent result in their education, volunteered in their community, run a successful business, or perhaps supported other refugees to thrive. Individuals are also encouraged to self-nominate.

Winners will be announced as part of Refugee Week, which runs from Sunday 19 June to Saturday 25 June 2022.

Nominations are open until Tuesday 12 April.
