New Facilities For Students In Melbourne’s East

26 May 2017

Families in Melbourne’s east are one step closer to receiving first rate school facilities, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region Shaun Leane today visited Sacred Heart Primary School to review the designs for a $2.7 million upgrade.

Relocatable buildings will be demolished and twelve brand new classrooms and break out areas will be built at the Croydon school.

The school is contributing $1.5 million to the upgrades and the Labor Government $1.2 million.

The upgrades will ensure local families can access a great local school equipped to deliver the best possible education.

The Labor Government has invested more than $2.5 billion in schools with 1000 school upgrades currently underway and 56 new schools being built across the state.
