Labor Government Upgrades Beth Weizmann Community Centre

The Andrews Labor Government has provided $500,000 in the 2015-16 Victorian Budget to upgrade security at the Beth Weizmann Community Centre in Caulfield, which houses Jewish community organisations.

Owned and operated by the Zionist Council of Australia, the centre is used weekly by 24 Jewish community organisations, and houses the Lamm Jewish Library of Australia.

The funding is part of the Andrews Labor Government $74 million to bolster multicultural affairs and social cohesion.

The $500,000 funding to the centre will be allocated under the Office of Multicultural Affairs and Citizenship’s Cultural Precincts and Community Infrastructure Fund.
