John Lenders Appointed Chair Of VicTrack

Former Victorian Treasurer John Lenders has been appointed Chair of the State’s rail asset owner VicTrack.

Making the announcement today, Minister for Public Transport, Jacinta Allan said Mr Lenders’ more than a decade of experience in senior roles in public office would be invaluable in leading the independent Board of this critical public-sector organisation.

Mr Lenders joined Cabinet in February 2002 and held a range of portfolios relevant to his new role at VicTrack including Finance, Major Projects, Information Communication Technology and most notably, Treasurer.

Mr Lenders replaces retiring Chair Bob Annells, who has held the position since April 2012.
