International Packaging Trade Fair Celebrates 30th Year

Minister for Small Business, Innovation and Trade, Adem Somyurek, today launched Auspack, the packaging industry’s internationally renowned trade fair and exhibition.

The biennial event is this year celebrating its 30th anniversary. It is expected to attract more than 300 Australian and international exhibitors of packaging equipment servicing the food, beverage, automotive, pharmaceutical and manufacturing industries.

More than 6000 people are expected to visit the expo including a strong delegation from China, which presents trade opportunities for Victorian delegates attending the event.

China is Victoria’s top two-way trading partner and number one export destination.

The four-day event is staged by the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association. It runs from today until Friday at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre.
