HUGE NEWS FOR EVERYONE ON THE FRANKSTON LINE!
Construction on the removal of eight more level crossings on the Frankston line will begin in 2018, with detailed planning and community consultation to kick off later this month.
These are on top of the 19 crossings already identified, and will make local communities safer, create space to run more trains on the Frankston line and reduce congestion right along the eastern side of the bay.
By 2018, work will have started or finished on more than half of the 50 dangerous and congested crossings we promised to get rid of.
