Horseplay Galore For Kids Night Out

24 February 2016

There will be plenty in store when the Geelong Harness Racing Club celebrates its Kids Night Out race meeting, with support from the Andrews Labor Government.

The government is contributing more than $12,000 towards the $25,000 event, from the Victorian Racing Industry Fund, Raceday Attraction Program. The club is providing more than $9300 and a $3500 contribution from Harness Racing Victoria.

Pony rides, animal petting farm, face painting and a jumping castle are just some of the attractions families can expect to see at Beckley Park on Saturday 27 February.

The club will be providing discounted family tickets for two adults and children under 18 (valued at $25) for just $10.

There will be plenty of entertainment for the adults with AC/DC tribute band Thunderstruck performing live on stage.

Patrons who book a dining package will automatically go in the running to win one of five mobile barrier rides up for grabs on the night.

The racing industry in the Barwon region generates more than $106 million for the Victorian economy and helps sustain over 1050 full-time equivalent jobs locally.
