Grand Final Weekend Sees In Daylight Savings

Victorian businesses and households are urged not to forget to bring their clocks forward this weekend when daylight savings begins on Sunday, 4 October.

Minister for Small Business Philip Dalidakis said households and businesses should use the opportunity to change the batteries in their smoke detectors and ensure other alarms and appliances are in proper working order.

The change in time will commence at 2am this coming Sunday, 4 October, when the clocks will be brought forward an hour to 3am.

Mr Dalidakis said daylight savings will also commence in South Australia, Tasmania, New South Wales and the Australian Capital Territory.

Daylight savings will end on Sunday, 3 April, 2016.
