Government Pays Tribute To State’s Registrar Of Housing

01 July 2016

It is with great sadness that the Victorian Government acknowledges the passing yesterday of Anthony Hardy, Registrar of Housing Agencies.

Anthony came to Victoria in 2006 from the United Kingdom to lead the establishment of Victoria’s Housing regulatory framework.

He was appointed as Victoria’s Registrar of Housing Agencies in 2011 and was a staunch supporter of the provision of safe and secure housing to vulnerable Victorians.

Throughout his tenure, Anthony worked closely with various government departments and agencies to ensure a strong and sustainable community housing sector both in Victoria and throughout Australia.

He was known by those who worked with him as someone with a great many interests, an avid music lover, passionate about his work, Newcastle United, cooking and gardening.

Our deepest sympathies go to his wife Mary and daughter Harriet and to all those who knew and loved him.

Robin Scott MP, Minister for Finance
