Government Acts On AGL Loy Yang Industrial Dispute

The Minister for Industrial Relations will make an application to the Fair Work Commission to seek a termination of the industrial action at AGL Loy Yang.

This is to protect Victoria's electricity supplies.

The ETU has notified of industrial action that could close Loy Yang A and Loy Yang B Power Stations.

In response, AGL has notified that they would seek to lock out all workers on 15 May, 2017.

The Victorian Government is taking this action to ensure that power supplies are not put at risk.
