Dropped in to the State Emergency Control Centre this morning to get an update on the two fires of concern near Lorne and one at Wye River.

Firefighters, with the support of waterbombing aircraft, will continue to work on the Jamieson Track fire in the Great Otway National Park today, and have been working around the clock to make sure the fire remains within control lines overnight.

However you're spending your Christmas Day, spare a thought for those people not able to spend Christmas at home after the fires and farmers who have lost stock and assets.
