Do You Know One Of Victoria’s Most Remarkable Women?

08 May 2017

The search for Victoria’s most outstanding women starts today. Nominations are now open for the 2018 Victorian Honour Roll of Women.

Minister for Women Fiona Richardson has called on Victorians to give an outstanding woman they know the recognition they deserve.

Each year, the Victorian Honour Roll celebrates 20 exceptional women who have made a significant and lasting contribution to their communities.

The women will join the more than 600 remarkable women named in the Honour Roll since it began in 2001, including the first woman to coach in the AFL Peta Searle, late activist and comedian Stella Young and businesswoman and activist Hana Assafiri.

The awards are looking for nominations from women across all industries and fields of endeavour, including women from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds, Aboriginal communities, women with a disability and young, regional and rural women.

If you know an extraordinary woman who deserves recognition for her contribution, leadership and achievements, please nominate her for the 2018 Victorian Honour Roll of Women.

Nominations close 5pm Monday 17 July, 2017.
