Christmas was two days ago. Boxing Day was yesterday. And tomorrow is a public holiday.
This is family time.
This is the break that so many people, working so hard, finally get to enjoy with the people they love.
But some people don’t have that luxury.
Today several thousand police headed to work to care for people in need. Tomorrow, they will do the same.
It will be the same for those running our transport system, working in cafes, and in hospitals.
They’re keeping our state running and they’re making a sacrifice. They’re giving up some of their family time so we can enjoy ours.
They deserve their penalty rates.
In me they will always have a Premier who’ll stand up for them.
