A Chance To Take Flight For All

02 December 2016

Victoria’s first all accessible nature based tourism attraction opened today at Arthurs Seat State Park following the completion of a new gondola ride.

Visitors are expected to flock to the new $23 million all weather tourism attraction which provides spectacular views of the bay and creates 70 new jobs.

The Eagle at Arthurs Seat was possible through a 50-year lease signed with the Andrews Labor Government to build and operate the gondola.

The Labor Government contributed $3 million to the project which includes improved visitor facilities, plus new parking and walking paths.

A new toilet block was also part of the development, with the facilities designed to meet the needs of people with severe disabilities.

The toilet block includes a Changing Places facility that allows people with severe disabilities and their carers to go out for a full day with the confidence that their needs will be met.
