CFA Station Receives Major Upgrade

14 June 2015

The Panton Hill community will be safer thanks to a major upgrade of the local CFA fire station.

Minister for Emergency Services, Jane Garrett, joined volunteers today to celebrate the completion of a $650,000 upgrade to facility.

The newly refurbished station has an improved motor room and a new turn out area for firefighters when responding to emergencies.

The refurbishment also includes a bigger multi-purpose room, an additional accessible toilet and significant retaining wall works to allow for ten new car parks.

Since it was founded in 1939, the Panton Hill Brigade has been protecting the local area as well as supporting colleagues across Victoria and interstate in firefighting efforts.
