CEO Appointed To Office Of Projects Victoria

30 December 2016

Victoria’s strong pipeline of infrastructure projects is set to benefit from the experience of Mr Antony Damiani, who has been appointed as the inaugural Chief Executive Officer of the newly created Office of Projects Victoria (OPV).

Mr Damiani will join OPV Chair Ken Mathers and a team of highly-skilled professionals, bringing a wide range of expertise and years of experience to oversee the Andrews Labor Government’s growing pipeline of major infrastructure projects.

Fulfilling an election commitment, the OPV was established in September this year to oversee how major infrastructure projects are developed, contracted for and implemented.

Mr Damiani has been a senior manager in the construction industry for more than a decade and has extensive experience in project management and the engineering industry.

His most recent role was managing director of civil engineering company Cut & Fill.

Mr Damiani’s roles have also included value engineering, strategic planning and business case preparation, submission management, preparation of bid documents, strategic advice, project development and project delivery.

Quotes attributable to Acting Treasurer Gavin Jennings

“We have fully equipped the OPV with the skills and expertise required to provide critical oversight of all major projects in Victoria.”

”We’re not wasting a day in building the infrastructure that this state needs, and the experience and expertise of the OPV will help ensure that we get it right.”
