CEO Appointed To Lead Victoria’s Visitor Economy

Victoria’s new premier tourism and events entity has welcomed the appointment of Peter Bingeman as the new CEO of Visit Victoria.

Chair of Visit Victoria Sir Rod Eddington and Minister for Tourism and Major Events John Eren today announced Mr Bingeman would oversee the transition of Victoria’s biggest shake up of the visitor economy in two decades.

Mr Bingeman, who was raised in metropolitan and regional Victoria and graduated from the University of Melbourne, has more than 20 years’ experience in change management, marketing and leadership roles across Australia and Asia.

Mr Bingeman is returning to Victoria from Malaysia where he was confectionery, food and beverage conglomerate, Mondelez International’s Managing Director responsible for business in Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Indo China.

He held previous executive roles with Mondelez International, Cadbury Schweppes & Procter and Gamble.

Mr Bingeman will commence at Visit Victoria on 4 July 2016.
