Bendigo Given Another Chance To Have Their Say On Buses

23 February 2015

Minister for Public Transport and local Labor MP Jacinta Allan today announced a second round of community consultation about the Bendigo bus network.

Minister Allan said the community response to last year’s consultation was significant and that a second round was needed, to ensure the views of the Bendigo community were accurately reflected in the local bus network.

Consultation will be held in the coming months, and provide another opportunity for the Bendigo community to have input into the design of the bus network that they use every day.

Minister Allan said she understood the concerns raised from locals about the length, notice and promotion of the first round, which is why she has intervened to see consultation re-opened.

A new, better bus network for Bendigo will be in place this year, and will compliment other major transport improvements, including Bendigo Metro.

More information regarding consultation times and locations will be provided in the coming weeks, well ahead of sessions commencing.
