Another Global Tech Company Chooses Victoria

09 December 2016

Texas-based AgileCraft is the latest global tech company to call Victoria home, announcing it will open its Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne early next year, creating up to 60 new jobs.

The company specialises in simplifying software for large organisations. It plans to establish a software development hub in Victoria by 2018, adding extensive expertise to Victoria’s booming digital tech sector.

Highly respected business magazine Fortune recently named AgileCraft the best small workplace in the U.S. for their positive and empowering culture, as well as their innovative approach to software development.

Founded in 2013, AgileCraft counts major global companies including Southwest Airlines, AT&T and the Australian Tax Office among its impressive list of clients.

Already working across the U.S. and the Ukraine, Victoria will host the company’s first Australian office as they look to expand across the Asia Pacific region.

AgileCraft is the latest in a long list of global leaders to set up regional headquarters in Victoria over the past 12 months, including Hired, Slack, GoPro and Square.

The Andrews Labor Government has invested heavily in Victoria’s tech sector to position the state as the number one destination for business and tech investment in the Asia Pacific.

Since November 2014, there have been more than 2,140 new tech jobs created from investment alone.

This has significantly boosted the state’s tech sector which now employs more than 83,000 people across approximately 8,000 companies.
