A Jobs Boost For West Gippsland Secured

13 July 2016

The Andrews Labor Government today helped secure 87 new professional jobs for West Gippsland with a $2.2 million investment by Aioi Nissay Dowa Insurance Company’s (ADICA) to set up operations in regional Victoria.

A major insurance provider, ADICA will establish a regional operations centre in Warragul or Drouin to create new employment and drive economic growth in the region, with assistance provided by the Labor Government.

ADICA’s investment in the new regional site will create 87 new highly skilled jobs in the professional services sector.

This is the second site for the company, which is being established due to business growth, adding to the company’s head office in Melbourne which employs around 100 people.

ADICA is a licensed general insurer that underwrites retail insurance principally for Toyota and Lexus branded vehicles.

Its business is forecast to grow by more than 20 per cent in the next three years and the new regional site will provide a secure operating environment, allowing it to extend the service it currently provides to its customers.

Through its $500 million Regional Jobs and Infrastructure Fund, the Government is supporting initiatives across regional and rural Victoria that build critical infrastructure, secure jobs, invest in communities and support new and emerging technology.
