Victoria’s best apprentice, teacher and training provider have been celebrated at tonight’s 63rd Victorian Training Awards, which recognise the high quality training being delivered across the state.
Maria Peters, the Chief Executive Officer of Chisholm Institute, received the Lynne Kosky Memorial Award for Lifetime Achievement for her outstanding leadership and her invaluable contribution to TAFE in Victoria.
Other winners include GOTAFE’s Jeremey Connell who was named Apprentice of Year and Longerenong College’s Dustin Cross, who was named Trainee of Year.
Susan Morris from Box Hill Institute was awarded Victorian Trainer of the Year and Bethany Simpson, who studied at Mildura Senior College, won the Victorian School-based Apprentice of the Year Award.
Ambulance Victoria was named Victoria’s Large Employer of the Year while Geelong’s The Gordon Institute of TAFE took out the Large Training Provider of the Year award.
This year’s winners will each receive $5,000 prize money and will represent Victoria at the 2017 Australian Training Awards in Canberra.
