Nominations Open For Creative Victoria Advisory Panels

13 May 2015

Minister for Creative Industries, Martin Foley, today invited Victorian creative practitioners and community members to participate in funding decision-making by nominating to be part of Creative Victoria’s Advisory Panel Register.

Creative Victoria, the Victorian Government body that supports the creative industries, manages a range of funding programs that provide support to organisations, artists and professionals across Victoria.

The Register is used to recruit members for Advisory Panels, usually groups of 4-10 people, who help in the grants process by assessing funding applications and making recommendations about which ones should receive support.

Individuals on the Panel Register can also be asked to provide advice on the development of new Creative Victoria initiatives.

In addition to artists and representatives from across the creative industries, Creative Victoria is seeking nominations from community members with skills that are complementary to the creative industries, such as finance, education, marketing, legal or project management.

Indigenous people, people with a disability, young people, individuals from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds and those living in regional areas are encouraged to nominate.

Online nominations for the Creative Victoria Advisory Panel Register close on Friday 29 May 2015.
