Next Step Towards Chisholm TAFE’S New Frankston Campus

20 August 2021

Architecture firm Gray Puksand has been appointed to design the Victorian Government’s new world-class facility at Chisholm TAFE as part of its Frankston campus redevelopment.

The $67.6 million project will revitalise the learning experience for students in Melbourne’s south-east, with Gray Puksand to design a multi-level facility that replaces two of the oldest buildings and integrates with the $85 million Frankston Learning and Innovation Precinct, funded by the Government and completed in 2019.

The new facility will feature bespoke spaces that respond to the most popular courses like community services, technology, cyber security, art and design and sport and recreation. It will also accommodate the delivery of Foundation College courses as well as a public gallery and food and retail spaces.

Works will begin early next year and finish in 2023, with more than 130 jobs created in construction and teaching.

Since 2014, the Government has made a record $3.2 billion investment to rebuild TAFE and support universities and higher education to ensure Victorians have access to high quality education and rewarding career pathways.

The Victorian Budget 2021/22 includes a $383.8 million investment in the sector to ensure more Victorians get the training they need for in-demand jobs.
