Well, we're at it again. Next month, we'll start fast tracking the removal of four level crossings on the Belgrave/Lilydale line. They'll all be gone by the end of this summer.

800 workers will be on the job around the clock to get rid of level crossings at Blackburn, Heatherdale and Bayswater.

I won't mince words: there's significant disruption for local residents ahead. It means road closures, station closures, changes to services, and buses replacing some trains.

But when we're done, four of these congested death traps will be gone, there'll be brand new stations at Bayswater and Heatherdale, and the upgraded station at Blackburn will be better than ever.

And in the end, it'll be worth it.

Don't just take my word for it. Watch this to see what Bayswater will look like once we're done.
