The Andrews Labor Government today announced the appointment of John O’Donoghue as a new Director to the Board of Victoria Legal Aid.
Mr O’Donoghue has been a partner at PricewaterhouseCoopers since 2005, after first starting work at the consulting firm 16 years earlier.
He has worked with mining companies, agricultural businesses, retail and fast-moving consumer goods, industrial products and pharmaceutical companies.
Mr O’Donoghue has significant experience working with and auditing large Australian listed and private companies, as well as local subsidiaries of the London Stock Exchange and United States listed groups.
He is proficient in complex areas of accounting, having led and participated in specialist projects including accounting advisory and transaction work.
Mr O’Donoghue is also the Chair of Step Back Think, a Victorian not-for-profit entity dedicated to driving cultural change against social (one-punch) violence.
He holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, and is a member of Chartered Accountants Australia New Zealand and an ASIC Registered Company Auditor.
Mr O’Donoghue’s appointment replaces David Thompson, whose term expired in February 2018.
