The Premier has announced the appointment of Fiona Adamson as the Secretary of the Department of Transport and Planning (DTP).
Ms Adamson is currently the Deputy Secretary of Transport Services for DTP where she has played a vital role in directing Victoria's public transit, road infrastructure, network operations, and customer experience frameworks. Previously she has held key executive roles within Public Transport Victoria and Transport for Victoria, leveraging a 15-year commercial background at Foxtel in customer operations and management.
Ms Adamson will start as Secretary of DTP on 28 August and will play a critical role in advising and supporting the Government to deliver the ongoing transformation of the transport network, Victoria's integrated transport, planning, and housing portfolio to manage daily network operations, deliver generational projects and drive critical development reforms.
The Premier has thanked outgoing DTP Secretary Jeroen Weimar for his contribution to the Victorian public service.
Jeroen commenced as Secretary of the Department of Transport and Planning on 27 January 2025.
Jeroen has held previous roles as Deputy Secretary of Housing Statement Implementation within the Department of Premier and Cabinet, Head of Transport Services at the Department of Transport, CEO of VicRoads and CEO of Public Transport Victoria, where he worked to deliver a more reliable and accessible network for Victorians. He was previously Chief Operating Officer of Transport for London. Jeroen also led Victoria’s operational response to the COVID-19 pandemic, including testing and vaccination.
