New School Building And Classrooms In Ringwood

18 June 2018

Students will have access to a new state-of-the-art building and classrooms at Ringwood Secondary College, thanks to the Andrews Labor Government.

Minister for Education James Merlino and Member for Eastern Metropolitan Region Shaun Leane today toured the site in Ringwood to see firsthand the exciting $13 million redevelopment of the school.

Stage one of the new junior school building has been completed and includes new modern classrooms and upgrades to the library and car park.

ClarkeHopkinsClarke designed the upgrades, with Newton Manor responsible for the building works.

Planning is now underway for the second stage, with scope and timeframe to be determined as part of this process.

Ringwood Secondary College's redevelopment is part of The Maroondah Education Plan, which includes a stadium for Norwood Secondary College, a performing arts centre for Mullum Primary School, and the consolidation of Melba College's two campuses into one site.

The Labor Government is building the Education State so every Victorian student can get a great education and every community has access to a great local school.

There are now 70 new government schools and more than 1300 school upgrades in the construction pipeline following the Government’s record $3.8 billion investment in school infrastructure.
