More Tech Jobs As Software Giant Lands In Victoria

29 October 2019

The Andrews Labor Government is welcoming the latest global tech company to choose Melbourne as its Asia Pacific base, in a move that will create 100 new jobs.

US-based Lucidchart is one of the world’s leading software providers, with more than three million users in the Asia Pacific alone – including Woolworths supermarkets and LINE Corporation.

With the support of Invest Victoria, Lucidchart will establish its Asia Pacific headquarters in Melbourne, which will host sales, marketing and customer support roles.

It is the latest company to invest in Victoria’s thriving tech and ICT sector, which employs more than 137,900 people across more than 19,300 businesses, generating $36.6 billion in annual revenue.

Melbourne is Australia’s leading tech city, as confirmed by the Savills Research Tech Cities in Motion global report released earlier this year.
