Minister Welcomes Re-Appointment Of Swinburne VC

Minister for Training and Skills, Steve Herbert, has congratulated Professor Linda Kristjanson on her re-appointment as Swinburne University’s Vice-Chancellor.

Professor Kristjanson has served as Swinburne’s Vice-Chancellor since May 2011, and has now been re-appointed to serve a further five-year term commencing 1 May this year.

The Andrews Labor Government looks forward to continuing to work with Professor Kristjanson to help further strengthen Swinburne’s world-renowned reputation as a provider of high-quality vocational and tertiary education.

Professor Kristjanson’s re-appointment will also provide continuity in negotiations between Swinburne and the Labor Government on the re-opening of the university’s former Lilydale Campus.

The Labor Government has committed to reopen and return high quality education provision to the Lilydale TAFE campus.
