Message From Acting Premier: Yom Kippur

I send my best wishes to Victoria’s Jewish community as it marks Yom Kippur – the Jewish day of atonement.

Yom Kippur is an important time of prayer and self-reflection, offering a universal message of repentance and forgiveness. It is an opportunity for Jewish Victorians to reflect on the year that has passed, and to look towards the future.

In Victoria we are fortunate to live in a diverse society where the important traditions of our many faith groups are observed freely.

Victoria’s Jewish community contributes enormously to our multicultural society, and has shown great dedication and generosity in sharing its rich cultural traditions with all Victorians.

I wish all members of Victoria’s Jewish Community an easy fast on this occasion.
