The Albanese and Allan Labor Governments are delivering more than 1,000 social and affordable homes for Victorians who need it most through the latest round of the Housing Australia Future Fund (HAFF).

This funding round will help build and operate 1,275 new homes across 25 projects thanks to $991 million from the Federal Government and a $360 million contribution from the Victorian Government.

These homes will support Victorians doing it tough – families, older women, and young people at risk of homelessness. There will also be more than 100 homes to support self-determined housing for Aboriginal Victorians.

Despite delays caused by opposition in the Parliament, the HAFF is now delivering long-term, reliable funding to address Australia’s housing shortfall.

Many homes from earlier rounds are already complete, with thousands more under construction or in planning.

The Allan Labor Government’s landmark $6.3 billion through its Big Housing Build and Regional Housing Fund is also helping deliver more than 13,300 more social and affordable homes across Victoria.

The Victorian Government has also introduced bold new reforms to boost housing supply – including making it easier to build close to train stations and trams, streamlining townhouse approvals, and slashing stamp duty for off-the-plan apartments and townhouses.

The Albanese Government is investing $43 billion to improve housing supply – across social, affordable, and market housing – and to help more Australians buy a home of their own.
