GRANTS SUPPORTING YOUNG PEOPLE TO ACHIEVE THEIR BEST
Labor is investing in the future of young Victorians.
Minister Grigorovitch today announced the latest round of Future Ready grants are now open.
The grants range from $24,000 up to $168,000 and aim to build confidence and capabilities of young leaders and changemakers for life beyond school.
The program invites government secondary schools and not-for-profit community organisations or social enterprises to apply for two-year grants.
Eligible activities include mentoring programs, work placements, community volunteering opportunities and leadership development.
The program expands access for students who may otherwise miss out on these important opportunities.
It helps them explore career pathways, gain practical experience, expand their networks and open doors.
Previous recipients include a peer-led health literacy program based at Essendon Keilor College and St Albans College.
Run by Community Health Advancement and Student Engagement Inc, it aims to build students’ understanding of physical and mental health.
Red Cliffs Secondary College delivered a five day ‘Job Camp,’ focused on essential qualifications required for employment in the construction and hospitality industries.
Clunes Neighbourhood House established a free Rural Study Hub for students, equipped with high-speed internet and a safe and supportive space to study.
Applications close 24 June 2026, with successful programs to take place from Term 1 2027 to Term 4 2028.
