Labor is supporting a packed program of free and fun school holiday activities for busy families.
Acting Premier Ben Carroll and Minister Dimopoulos today visited Melbourne Zoo where families can see the only snow leopard cubs in Australia, along with the zoo’s giraffe calves and the return of Dinos at the Zoo.
Kids under 16 years of age can visit Melbourne Zoo, Werribee Open Range Zoo, Healesville Sanctuary and Kyabram Fauna Park for free these school holidays through the Kids Go Free program.
Free activities are also on offer at leading cultural attractions and tourism destinations.
Families can explore exhibitions and hands-on experiences at Melbourne Museum and enjoy interactive STEM fun at Scienceworks.
Art lovers can take part in free exhibitions and workshops at the National Gallery of Victoria and The Ian Potter Centre: NGV Australia.
Nature lovers can explore Victoria’s great outdoors, from the Chelsea Australian Garden at Olinda to the Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne, both offering free entry.
Families can also visit the Koala Trail on Raymond Island near Paynesville to spot native wildlife.
These experiences will attract thousands of families and support local businesses across tourism, hospitality and retail.
Families can also take part in the free Metro Tunnel Passport Challenge, visiting all five new stations and collecting stamps along the way.
Victorians are already embracing free public transport in April – which will make it even easier to get to these destinations, including regional Victoria.
