Victoria is continuing to build thousands of social homes for people who need them most.
But we know we need to keep investing.
That’s why the Victorian Budget 2026/27 invests $860 million into the Social Housing Growth Fund.
This will help to deliver more than 7,000 social homes for Victorians who need them most.
This builds on the more than 12,000 social and affordable homes we are delivering across Victoria.
More than 12,000 homes are already complete or underway and more than 7,000 families have already moved in.
The Social Housing Growth Fund provides funding for not-for-profit community housing organisations to help build and operate social housing.
By partnering with these organisations, the Allan Labor Government is supporting more Victorians into safe, secure, and modern long-term housing.
For six years, the Liberals and Greens have united to stop Labor’s housing agenda at every turn.
The Liberals don’t believe in social housing – only Labor can deliver the homes and services Victorians need.
