Bourke Street Tragedy State Memorial Service

On 20 January 2017, tragedy struck in the heart of Melbourne.

The Victorian Government will host a State Memorial Service to commemorate the first anniversary of the devastating tragedy that occurred on Bourke Street.

This will be an opportunity to honour those who lost their lives in the attack, their families and those who were injured and affected. It will also be an opportunity to come together with first responders and everyone who has provided ongoing support.

The Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday 23 January 2018 at the Royal Exhibition Building, Carlton Gardens from 12.00 pm to 1.30 pm.

The Memorial Service is being held after the one year anniversary to allow those affected the opportunity to mark the milestone personally and privately.
